As we look towards the last days of summer and what they have in store for us, I can’t help but send you a few things to savor and ponder to make every day one that is woven with intention and delight. I hope you enjoy these as much as I do!
the daily stoic – sometimes my morning routines need a bit of a brush up. And even though there is no such thing as a “right” morning routine, one that is consistent and full of reflection + foresight is going to be the most impactful. I love this book because it truly elevates the art of living through the lens of deep reflection and perseverance. Its journal counterpart prompts me to take this one step further and put pen to paper. I think about what I wrote throughout the day and it urges me to slow down and pause to tune in.
bento box bliss – whether your kids are going back to school in-person or commuting to the kitchen, bento boxes come in handy for kids and adults alike as they make simple lunches seamless and compact in the fridge. Mepal has struck my fancy not only for their sleek design but also their attention to detail. I have 2 bento boxes from them that are “velveteen rabbits” at this point being put to work on the daily.
organic jojoba oil – if you’ve been following along on my Instagram, I shot a quick tutorial on my favorite way to keep my hands from cracking and “falling off” with all the washing we are of course wisely doing. Pure jojoba oil for both my hands and my body [when applied wet] has been a game changer. It’s simple. Effective. And clean.
no bake energy bite mix – I’m going to be honest with you, sometimes I need a little hit of dopamine from a CLEAN treat and I found my new favorite… enter Creation Nation’s no bake energy bite mix. It’s very clean and I throw in some collagen powder to give it a boost of protein. When I need an upgraded without lingering sugar cravings, this is now in my repertoire of in a pinch solutions!
play mode – I happened to be obsessed with making mix tapes when I was little and nothing has changed. But now that I can make mixes in 1/2 the time. I’ve gone wild and this playlist might just be permanently on repeat while I create content and playfully enjoy the sunshine during these long summer days. There’s no rhyme or reason to the songs in case you were wondering. They are just beats that make me happy. ‘Nuff said.
liposomal vitamin C – with immunity on everyone’s mind these days and we prepare to re-enter into the world of school etc, I get asked on the daily what to be adding into the regimen for a bit of extra protection. Enter the CEO of protection: vitamin C. And you can get so much C from food alone but for an extra boost consider liposomal C. It absorbs most efficiently. It’s a bit pricier though so you don’t have to use daily. Consider a 1-2 week at a time C BOOST [it’s like going to an IV bar but with more convenience and safety in the comfort of your home]. My favorite brand is produced here in Colorado and I couldn’t be more impressed.
