functional flavors:

  • coconut milk: the creamy texture of coconut milk is due to its high content of medium-chain triglycerides [MCTs]. MCTs are absorbed easily by the digestive tract + readily converted to energy in the body.

  • cucumbers: cucumbers are cooling vegetables that can reduce inflammation when used topically. The skin of cucumbers also contains cucurbitacins, bitter compounds that improve liver health + function!

  • honey: honey is loaded with minerals + antibacterial nutrients, giving this natural sweetener a medicinal profile. While it is best known for easing seasonal allergies, it can even be used topically to help speed up wound healing.

  • citrus: offers a potent dose of vitamin C increasing resilience to stress, decreasing inflammation and soothing the adrenal glands

  • mint: plants in the mint family may help to relieve allergic skin disorders + allergic asthma by inhibiting histamine release, leading to improved symptoms.
