soul sunday : the alchemy of autumn

As Earth slows for her winter rest, she invites us to do the same— gather, store, release, and unwind from the rush of summer. With autumn's crisp winds, the message is clear: it’s time to pause.

Autumn teaches us through the lungs and large intestine, our organs of receiving and letting go. They remind us to breathe in what sustains us and release what no longer serves, urging us to refine, let go, and make room for what truly matters.

Nature doesn’t apologize for shedding; leaves fall gracefully to feed the earth, teaching us the beauty of release. Our lungs encourage deep breaths to take in the season’s fresh energy, while our large intestine asks us to let go of old burdens. The question is: do we have the courage to embrace abundance and the grace to let go of excess?

When these organs are in balance, we can savor life’s fleeting beauty without clinging. As autumn’s colors fade, we're reminded that each end nurtures a new beginning. This is the grace of release— letting go so something fresh can take root.

In autumn’s rhythm, we are called to honor what grounds us. Practices like yoga and meditation help us settle into stillness, clearing the mind and connecting with what really matters. Slowing down isn’t losing time; it’s reclaiming it, meeting life’s needs with presence.

Autumn is an invitation to reflect, release, and remember— a gentle nudge to align with Earth’s wisdom and our own natural rhythms.

As you navigate Autumn [or any quarterly / seasonal transition for that matter], consider using our quarterly reflection sheet to guide this transition. On the other side of curiosity is the clarity to take the next best step forward.
